Devona "Dee" Bassett 76, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at her home. She is survived by daughters Sherry M. (Richard) Grise of MO; Barb Bassett of IL, sons Kevin L. (Jennifer) Miller of Elkhart; Charles Bassett of Hawaii; Douglas A. (Regina) Bassett of Indiana; Steven J.(Janet) Bassett of MI, many grandchildren, great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers Paul, Bob, Tommy and four sisters Cheryl, Betty, Suzi and Ginger. Proceeded in death by her husband Ray Bassett, a daughter Debbie Miller and a grandson Christian Ernsberger. Dee and Ray retired to Leesburg and Madeira Beach, Florida before returning to the area to be closer to family. Dee was looking forward to attending her late husband's induction into the RV/MV Hall of Fame Museum August 2nd. Friends may call from 4 to 6 P.M. on Tuesday at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where a memorial service will begin at 6:00 P.M., with private graveside service in Rice Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
