He worked for CTS Corporation where he served as Group Vice President and Director. Adrain retired in 1978 after 38 years of service. In 1961 he and his family moved to Paducah, Kentucky where he was plant manager at the Speaker plant. He helped start the Chiphone Credit Union and was on the advisory council of Vocational Career Center
