Jean Wear of Elkhart passed away on July 4, 2010 at Golden Living Center. She was born to Fred Elliott, Sr. and Francis (Swartz) Elliott on February 21, 1924 in Elkhart, Ind. On Nov. 29, 1941 Jean married Charles H. Foster in Indianapolis, Ind. he passed away on Jan. 26, 1973. She then remarried to Robert C. Wear on Nov. 16, 1974 in Elkhart, Ind. and he passed away on April 29, 2005. She was a 1942 graduate of Elkhart High School, a member of the Moose Lodge in Goshen, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elkhart, Ind. Survivors include a daughter Carol Swartz of Elkhart, Ind.; sons Dennis Foster of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Dean (Kathi) Foster of Granger, Ind.; step-daughters Susan (Wayne) Snyder of Ft. Myers, Fla., Bobbe (John) Erickson of Goshen, Ind.; sister Mary Jane Harmon of San Diego, Calif., 11grandchlidren, 25 great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brothers Fred Elliott, Jr., Jack Elliott, Warren William Elliott. Visitation will be at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral home from 6 to 8 pm on July 7, 2010. Services will be on July 8, 2010 at 11am at the funeral home. Pastor Hemming will be officiating the services. Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to Huntington's Disease.
