Ronald W. Ervin 50 of Goose Creek, SC, formerly of Elkhart died Tuesday at 1:27 A.M. in MUSC Health Hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 18, 1959 to Raymond and Marie Pahl) Ervin Sr. in Elkhart. He married Debi M. Furst May 31, 1986 in San Diego, CA, she survives. Also surviving is one daughter Cassie Ervin of Goose Creek, SC, parents Raymond and Sondra Ervin Sr. of Elkhart; sisters Sue Ann (Scott Perry) Moro, Sharon (Humberto) Camacho, Shelly (Jeff) Christian all of Elkhart; Donna (Nathan) Peters of Dandridge, TN; Colleen (Randy) WInegardner of Orlando, FL; Jeane Huster of Three Rivers, MI; brothers Raymond (Jennifer) Ervin Jr. of Edwardsburg, MI; Nevin Whetstone of Jackson, MS. His mother Marie Pahl preceded in death. Mr. Ervin retired from the U. S. Navy in 2009 where he was a Chief Petty Officer and a master diver and instructor. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #599 in
Elkhart. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. on Friday at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. His body will be cremated with burial in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
