Thelma C. Luefling 91 of Elkhart Indiana died at 12:00 A.M. Monday at Eastlake Nursing and Rehablitation Center in Elkhart. She was born April 16, 1918 in Middlebury, Indiana to David E and Elizabeth A. (Troyer) Yoder. She married Walter E. Luefling Sr. May 16, 1953 in Goshen, Indiana, he died in 1999. Also surviving is two sons Donald (Marsha) Luefling of Three Rivers, MI; Eric (Florence) Luefling of South Bend, IN; Daughter Phyllis Young of Niles, MI; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. A son Leonard Luefling, three brothers Alvin, Raymond and Harold Yoder preceded in death. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Women's Association, Ruth Circle and the Quiet Ministry. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. on Thursday at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. on Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Elkhart with entombment in Chapel of Memories in Rice Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Women's Association of the First Presbyterian Church or Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
